Odisha State Youth Policy_2013( click on it to download the document):
Drafting of the Odisha State youth policy involved 14000 stakeholders in the interactions and participatory process. Several thousands were contacted through internet, email, postal mails, etc and their responses were taken into account during the discussions on the policy. This interactive and participatory approach was highly appreciated by the Country Representative of the UNFPA, who had supported the entire process. Scores of NGOs, bureaucrats, civil society members, youth, intellectuals, people from the minority communities, persons with disabilities, almost from all walks of life were involved in the drafting of the State Youth Policy of Odisha 2013.
It is a document that shows the commitment of the Government and we hope budgetary allocation will also also be made for all the commitments that have been included in the policy document.
We have to be observant and alert to these requirements and put pressure on the Government to fulfill its mandate to the people. It is for us to follow up to ensure the policy is implemented
We would be interested to know the lacunae, your feedback, comments on the policy, please post your feedback on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Saagn?ref=tn_tnmn
