India: Neelanchal honored by the Chief Minister

Neelanchal, an athlete with cerebral palsy registered under Special Olympics Bharat-Odisha and working with the Odisha based organisation, Open Learning Systems (OLS) as an Office Assistant is among the few young achievers of the state who was honored during the release of the Odisha Youth Policy 2013 along with the Chief Minister of Odisha, Sri Naveen Patnaik on 7th April 2013 at the Rural Development Department, State Secretariat.

Neelanchal has been an athlete of Special Olympics Bharat since 2003 and has participated and won several medals in bocce and athletics held in various parts of the country. He has won two gold medals (one in athletics and one in bocce) in the National Games held under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India scheme in February 2011 in Chennai.

He will soon compete for the Asia Pacific Regional Games to be held in Australia in December this year.
